The AcoustiTrac™ is a retractable soundproof curtain that blocks outside noise from entering your home. Unlike other sound-absorbing curtains, it is designed to block sound coming in and out of your space, rather than simply reducing echo. The dense, noise-blocking fabric guides along a track to allow you to easily open and close the curtain. We include all hardware and instructions you need to mount the track quickly and easily from your ceiling or your wall.

What is the AcoustiTrac?

The AcoustiTrac™ is a retractable soundproofing curtain that blocks sound from coming in through your windows or sliding glass doors. It blocks the same amount of noise as the AcousticCurtain™ but features a simpler retraction method, allowing you to easily glide the curtain open and closed. We’ve designed the AcoustiTrac to be affordable while also offering maximum sound-blocking protection from a curtain.

How does a Soundproofing Curtain Work?

While most sound-blocking curtains merely absorb sound, the patented AcoustiTrac actually deflects sound waves, directing them away from your living environment. This sound deflection makes the AcoustiTrac the most effective sound-blocking curtain on the market. In order to deflect sound the curtain uses a dense, flexible, sound-blocking core that averages between 10-15 pounds — although much smaller or larger curtains may vary.

If choosing a split panel AcoustiTrac™, both panels will overlap in the center with specialized overlap carriers and connect with a high-energy magnetic bond. During manufacturing we add an additional 4″ to each panel, ensuring that one solid curtain is formed when in use.

How much sound or noise does it block?

The AcoustiTrac blocks most outside noise, averaging between 60% and 80%, based on your wall thickness and the type of noise you’re trying to block. This dramatically transforms your home’s atmosphere. To see just how much sound the AcoustiTrac blocks, check out this handy infographic.

How do I attach the Soundproofing Curtain to my wall?

The AcoustiTrac mounts to your wall with robust brackets, held by screws and drywall anchors. The track suspends the noise blocking curtain directly over your window. During installation you determine how far away from the window frame you would like the curtain to sit. Our hardware allows you to create a tight seal around the window opening for maximum sound-blocking protection. The AcoustiTrac is held snugly against your walls using sewn-on micro-Velcro to ensure that sound doesn’t seep around the edges and into your living space.

We have included Mounting Instructions here to make the process as painless as possible!

If you require a ceiling mounted track, that’s not a problem! Request ceiling mounted hardware in the Order Notes section during checkout.

Other benefits

  • Light-blocking: the AcoustiTrac blocks more than 99% of outside light. Many people purchase the AcoustiTrac simply to use for its light-blocking properties.
  • Thermal properties: the AcoustiTrac has insulating properties, lowering your home’s heating and cooling costs.
  • Decor: available in a wide variety of colors, the AcoustiTrac™ soundproof curtain pairs well with any living space.

Delivery Time

This company is in infant stages. The brain behind the product is a very young ,energetic and enthusiastic man with engineering back ground. My wife and i visited the small warehouse/factory in Tampa. The owner took the time to explain the product and its development.Got a chance to look at the materials. Friendly people.Willing to listen to new ideas and always trying to improve on the product. I have no doubt in my mind that in a few months they will have new products available for the public.
We are happy with the sound proofing quality of the product we bought.
Best wishes to Mr Peek in launching this company

First off, these folks are very easy to work with. I went back and forth a number of times with support prior to my order and they were very good at answering my questions.

The product itself, the Acousti-Trac, fits perfectly. No complaints there.

The curtain I ordered is very large, around 70×50, and I was surprised to see the front covering fabric drooping. While the curtain is tacked at all four edges, there are no tacks in the middle so the facing fabric tends to sag. This is not a very nice visual and if you’re a perfectionist it will drive you nuts. It’s in my bedroom, so I’m not that concerned.

The design flaw with the acousti-track is to get the best sound dampening you have to use the top velcro piece. This makes it VERY difficult (essentially impossible) to easily open and close the curtain. I’ve adapted this by sliding the semi-adjustible track as close to the wall as possible so the top part of the curtain touches the moulding.

The bottom velcro is challenging, but at least you can lift the bottom out while you’re trying to open the curtain on the track.

I live right next to a busy freeway. I can still hear every car that goes by, albeit at lower volume. Perhaps a combination of engineered triple pane windows AND this curtain would cut the freeway noise down to very low levels. But the curtain alone will not do it. My *guess* is the noise is cut down 25-30% in volume.

If you live by a busy road, and that’s your primary reason for ordering this, you are only going to get partial relief.

I purchased the Acoustitrac for a laundry closet. My desk is right next to it, so the washer and dryer would drive me crazy. There is now an appreciable decrease in sound. I can still hear the machines, but it is now bearable. I no longer have to turn my music up when the machines are running.

I was hoping that the curtain would do even more sound reduction, but there is a vent into my office from the closet that the curtain does not cover, plus we share a drop ceiling so sound can travel above the ceiling tiles and down to me, so I can’t complain. It does the job.

Installation was difficult as I discovered that the area above the frame to the closet had no wood, just dry wall. The anchors provided were inadequate and wouldn’t grip the drywall. They kept falling out. so I went with Wall Dogs, which were perfect. The provided anchors are why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

I own a duplex/maisonette – in which two bedrooms overlook the living room via an interior sliding window.

I needed some thing to dampen the sound coming in and out – and this worked.

Item was as described, fast shipping.

This curtain was as described and the shipping was quick although we are in same area as the company. As far as the sound reduction goes, first we have not and are not planning on using the velcro to fasten all the sides down. We ordered the blind to be about 4 inches larger than the window on all sides. I would say overall it has reduced our noise by 50% on average. The louder the noise the less it seems to reduce. On medium to low level noise it does a good job. We were realistic in what we thought this blind would do and are satisfied. If you think it is going to soundproof all noise then you will be disappointed.

I live on a street that used to be small sleepy street — in the last couple of years, it has become a major thoroughfare, and the noise in my kitchen was unsettling. I ordered one of the shades, having measured by myself, and it arrived very timely. I even installed it myself !!! Alone !!! (Who says women can’t be handy!!). I love it. It is attractive enough — but most of all — it cut down at least 80% of the traffic noise and I can now have my coffee in peace!!! I would highly recommend this product. JH, Sarasota
